About Swing Out UK

An independent guide to Lindy Hop and swing dancing in the UK.

We list schools, socials and festivals, and check every listing against the organiser's own website. Each listing shows the date it was last checked and links to its source.

A free resource

From the community, for the community. This site is free and always will be. There are no adverts, no affiliate links, no sponsored listings and no paid placement: the "adverts" for schools are free listings in period dress. Schools are listed because they teach Lindy Hop, not because they paid. We don't sell or share anyone's details.

School and event logos are shown only to identify each organiser beside their own listing. If you'd rather we didn't show yours, tell the listings desk and we'll remove it.

Lindy Hop was created by African-American dancers in Harlem, New York, and any history we publish will credit them and cite its sources.
