Dean Collins: Hollywood-Style Lindy Hop
Dean Collins dancing Lindy Hop, a good way to see the cool, flowing style that made him one of the most influential figures of the West Coast tradition. He is known for dancing in Hollywood films and for helping spread a distinctly smooth interpretation of the dance. Watch how little he seems to move above the waist, how crisp the footwork is and how the partner connection stays relaxed throughout. A useful counterpoint to the more explosive Harlem material.
