The Lindy Hop of Norma Miller

A tribute to Norma Miller, who danced at the Savoy Ballroom as a teenager and went on to perform in film and on stage for decades. Often called the Queen of Swing, she remained a vocal ambassador for the dance and its Black history long after her performing days. The clip gives a taste of her energy, humour and sharp timing. Worth watching alongside the Hellzapoppin' footage to understand how she carried the Savoy spirit into later generations.
