About The Swing Ninjas
The Swing Ninjas are a vocal-led swing band from Brighton who blend New Orleans and Parisian swing from the 1920s, 30s and 40s. They began as a busking trio playing small clubs and street corners around Europe and have since grown into a larger band that writes its own new swing material alongside the classics, drawing on spirituals, blues and Cajun jazz.
Their debut album of original songs, Do You Hallelujah?, came out in 2015. The band can be booked in several sizes, from a trio up to a nine-piece, and their website has a section offering dancers and lessons alongside the music, which makes them a natural fit for swing socials on the south coast and beyond. Expect humour, a bit of mischief and plenty of rhythm for the dance floor.
