About Swing Tyne's classes and events

Swing Tyne runs 5 regular weekly sessions on Mondays and Sundays. Styles on offer: Lindy Hop, Balboa, Collegiate Shag and Charleston.

Mondays: Lindy Hop (Improvers then Fundamentals) at 19:30–21:00 (Summerhill Pavilion & Gardens (Summerhill Bowling Club)), Collegiate Shag and Balboa (St Matthew's Church) and Monday social dancing at 21:00–22:30 (Summerhill Pavilion & Gardens (Summerhill Bowling Club)). Sundays: Sunday Swing Out! (The Cluny) and Bal Brunch (Balboa and Shag) (Holy Hobo, Jesmond).

Starting out? Lindy Hop (Improvers then Fundamentals) on Mondays at 19:30–21:00, Collegiate Shag and Balboa on Mondays, Monday social dancing on Mondays at 21:00–22:30 and Sunday Swing Out! on Sundays are described by the organiser as suitable for newcomers. Most classes rotate partners, so you can come on your own – see your first class.
