Al Minns and Leon James on US Television
Al Minns and Leon James appearing on the DuPont Show of the Week, an American television programme. Minns and James were Savoy-era Lindy Hoppers who kept performing in the decades when the dance fell out of fashion. Here they present it to a mainstream TV audience, with showy partner work, tight timing and plenty of personality. A rare document of the dance's survival between its 1940s peak and the 1980s revival.
