About Twinwood Festival (Bedford)

Twinwood is a four-day vintage music, dance and fashion festival held at Twinwood, near Bedford. The organisers count more than 60 live performances across 11 venues, plus over 100 vintage traders, air displays, classic vehicles, hair and beauty salons, museums, themed bars and campsites. Dancing is central. The main stages have large sprung wooden dance floors in the outdoor arena. Free dance lessons need no sign-up, and the 2026 programme included a Dance Marquee for beginners, a Tin Hat tent for improvers and intermediates, a Dancing Through Time session, a beginner Jive and Rock and Roll tent, and daily SWINGDYHOP classes. Styles taught include Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston, Collegiate Shag and other swing dances alongside social ballroom, novelty dances, Jive and Rock and Roll, so the dancing is broader than just swing. It suits anyone who wants a big vintage festival with live music and plenty of free lessons rather than a specialist swing weekender. The next edition is 27 to 30 August 2027.

What to expect

Everyone camping needs a full four-day ticket, and single-day tickets do not allow camping. No tickets are sold on the gate and tickets are non-refundable. Outdoor dance floors get slippery when wet, so wear shoes with thick non-slip soles. Children under five do not need a ticket. Check the tickets page for current prices.
